Now, PartyNextDoor has uploaded a new collaboration onto his website, featuring D-Block legend Jadakiss, AKA The Raspiest. It’s a low key, vibey cut, with PND kicking things off with a subdued, yet high tempo flow. “Gotta refuse all sympathy, everybody fine till they need me financially,” raps Party, at once lamenting and humble-bragging in one fell swoop. The remainder of his verse is laced with clever lyrical imagery (“Cut em’ off like Korean Barbecue scissors”) and the sort of lavish lifestyle you’d expect from one of OVO’s best and brightest.
By now, if you don’t know Jadakiss’ name, there’s not much I can do to help you. The man with the most iconic laugh in hip-hop works surprisingly well with PND, despite a massive difference in musical demeanor. Admittedly, Party does set the bar pretty high with a solid lead-off verse, but Jada switches up his usual style and delivers a complimentary performance. To be honest, it does feel somewhat different from the remainder of the track, but new Jadakiss is always welcome as far as I’m concerned.
