Once upon a time Kanye West made a controversial yet powerful move from Nike to Adidas and created a profitable ongoing deal for his YEEZY clothing line and sneakers. Since then his YEEZY 750 Boost and YEEZY 350 Boost sneakers have become tremendous retail hits, selling out globally in minutes. You’d think that level of success would satisfy the rapper, but some rumors are circulating that West might be ending his contract with Adidas for a move over to Vans some time next year.
Sneaker Addicts speculate that negotiations between West and the California brand have been afoot for some time already, and recent sightings of Kanye signaling his love for the brand like in the song, “No More Parties in LA,” which says “Some days I’m in my Yeezys/some days I’m in my Vans.” A love for the brand is certainly present due to a picture of himself with Kendrick Lamar posted by Kanye on Twitter, showing Ye wearing a pair of Vans Caballero. How do we feel about this move plugs? Will YEEZY Vans make as much of an impact that the YEEZY Boosts did?
